Wayne Rooney misses Manchester United’s crucial Champions League game with Wolfsburg tonight through injury and took the opportunity to take his eldest son Kai to Goodison Park last night to watch his boyhood club. Rooney came through the ranks at Everton and it wouldn’t be a massive shock if he ended finishing his career with the blues. Rooney watched on as Everton drew the game 1-1 with Crystal Palace.
Rooney sat out United’s 0-0 draw with West Ham on Saturday and was again pictured in the stands with Kai. Kai is probably getting to the age now where he understands what his dad does for a job and starting to show a interest in football. It wouldn’t surprise me if Rooney wanted his children to see him play in an Everton shirt before he retires. Though Wayne will be hoping he won’t be retiring for a long time yet. This may be something he’s starting to think about if not already.
