Premier League: Gameweek 16 Predictions – Saturday’s Fixtures

Norwich City v Everton

The early kick-off sees Everton travelling to East-Anglia to face Norwich City. Everton go into this game on a back of two successive league draws against Bournemouth and Crystal Palace. Having missed chances to win both games. Everton have only lost one of their seven games on the road so far this season. But they have also only managed two wins.

Norwich have struggled to get wins on their return to the top-flight. The last few Premier League games have seen them defeated 2-0 at Watford last time out and in their last home game they managed a 1-1 draw with Arsenal having fallen behind. Though wins have been hard to come by for Norwich they haven’t been played off the park.

I can see this being a tight match that’s decided by a single goal in either direction. In my opinion Everton will just edge this one and come away from Carrow Road with the 3 points.

Prediction: 1-2

Crystal Palace v Southampton

The two sides go into this one separated by six places in the league but only by two points. Both teams will be looking to secure a top six finish come May. With Crystal Palace currently occupying that sixth place.

Crystal Palace is talked about as a difficult place for the opposition to go but they have lost four of eight home Premier League games. Their last two home games have seen them beaten 1-0 by Sunderland, then they beat Newcastle 5-1.

Southampton will be looking to improve on their recent results, having lost two and drawn one of their last three league games and suffered that 6-1 defeat to Liverpool in the League Cup.

Their isn’t much between the two sides as the table shows. I can see a scoredraw in this game.

Prediction: 1-1
