As we head towards the end of 2015 and the January transfer window, here’s five Premier League stars that may be looking for a move in the winter transfer window.
5. Kevin Mirallas
Belgium International Kevin Mirallas has been ever present in the Everton starting line-up until this season. Mirallas has only made one start in the Premier League so far this season and that came on the opening day of season against Watford. He has made seven appearances off the bench with the majority of these coming in the last quarter of games.
Mirallas helped Belgium qualify for this summers European Championships and has over 50 caps. If he wants to add to those caps at the championships in the summer, he may need to move away from Goodison Park. There is rumoured interest in the attacker from Premier League rivals West Ham, while French Monaco and Marseille have also declared an interest.
4. Andros Townsend
Andros Townsend has struggled to force his way into Mauricio Pochettino squad on a regular basis this season. In the Premier League has only made into Tottenham’s matchday squad on eight occasions and made it onto the pitch on three times. His last start for the Tottenham first-team came in the Europa League against Anderlecht on October 22.
Townsend made two appearances for Tottenham’s under-21s recently, with Pochettino stating that this was through the players choice because he wants to play football. As well as not playing for Tottenham, Townsend failed to make the England squad for the recent friendlies with Spain and France. He needs to be playing first-team football if he wants to return to the International fold. Newcastle are said to be one of a number of clubs who have expressed an interest.
